The Red Tent Festival is a not-for-profit event run by a team of passionate volunteer women including the Northern Rivers Branch of Maternity Coalition Inc. Together we donate our time, hands and resources to bring together a truly magical day and evening for all women to celebrate, share, laugh, cry, dance and be inspired by the power of woman.
Like the women who come to the Red Tent Festival, our volunteers represent all stages of womanhood including teenagers, mums and bubs, working women, aunties, grandmas and everything else in between. Each volunteer offers whatever time she can, and every woman’s contribution to the festival, no matter how great or small, is equally valued.
The Red Tent Festival team offers the same safe and nurturing environment to all its volunteer members as the intimate space we aim to create for the festival itself. Participation of any kind is warmly welcomed and cherished.
Every woman involved in creating The Red Tent Festival does so in order to contribute to the vision of the festival itself and is only ever expected to contribute as much as is sustainable for their own unique circumstances in life. Our festival only thrives due to the generous work of our volunteers and we acknowledge the absolute importance of the event involving enough support so that it will always remain sustainable.
Above and beyond all this, The Red Tent Festival will only be a true success when every member of our volunteer team receive just as much back in fun, fulfilment and inspiration as they give to the festival itself.
